Safety and Health

Labor and management are both dedicated to having a safe and healthy work environment. The National Heavy and Highway Construction Project Agreement even has an article which explicitly states that the safety and health and drug testing policies of the Employer or the Owner will be followed by all workers on the job site. The Coalition realizes that safe workers performing their duties in a safe work environment will be more productive workers.

Each craft of the Coalition has a safety and health department, with a director.

These safety professionals have been fully trained in all aspects of construction safety and health. It is their job to make sure that all workers are provided a safe and healthy workplace.
